Category 5: fewer duties, not fewer consequences
A small public-access property owes fewer controls than a large one, and some intervals are longer. A longer interval is precisely the one that gets forgotten.
Classification changes the list, and the list changes everything
The gas check is annual for a category 1 to 4 property, and three-yearly in category 5. Held as one number, one of the two is always wrong: either you inspect three times too often, or you are late without knowing it.
- Intervals follow the category you declare
- A three-year deadline is tracked like a six-month one
- The text setting the interval is cited on the obligation

I do not know my category.
It is on your opening order or the last safety-commission report. If in doubt, open the wider list: a duty tracked needlessly beats a duty missing.
