A safety-register template for hotels
A template helps on day one. It becomes a risk the day you believe it keeps itself. Here is what it must cover, and what it does not replace.
The template, as a PDF
Nine print-ready pages: property identification, periodic checks, findings and closures, training, works, incidents. No intervals — they live in the France guide, cited on the cover. Download the template (PDF, French)
What a good template holds
Not a form to fill once: a structure that takes a new line each time a check runs, a finding opens, or a training is held.
- One line per check, with date, contractor and evidence
- One line per finding, open until proof of closure
- Staff training and its certificates
- Safety-relevant works, dated
Why a frozen PDF does not hold
On the day, the commission reads what happened since last time. A template downloaded two years ago and never revisited says exactly that: it did not keep up. Required content is set by article R.143-44 CCH; the form is not — the keeping is what counts.
Intervals do not live in the template
A template that lists “every X months” creates a second copy of the intervals to maintain. Frequencies and the text behind them live in the France guide; the register only traces what was done.
The version that updates itself
Paco keeps the register from your documents: a report dropped in or arriving by email updates the obligation it proves. The template then becomes the start, not the day-to-day tool.
Common questions
Can I stay on a spreadsheet?
Yes, as long as it is current and every line has its evidence. The risk is not the format — it is quiet abandonment.
Where do I find the intervals to keep?
In the France guide: each check is tied to its text there. Nothing is copied here.
