France: your periodic checks, already set up
Paco already knows the periodic checks that apply, how often, and the text behind each one. You look nothing up.
What the classification actually changes
The category is not a consequence-free administrative label: it changes intervals. The gas check is the clearest example, annual up to category 4 and three-yearly in category 5.
- Electrical installations, order of 26 December 2011 under art. R.4226-16
- Extinguishers, art. MS 38 §4 of the order of 25 June 1980
- Fire safety system, art. MS 73 §2 of the order of 25 June 1980
- Gas, orders of 25 June 1980 and 22 June 1990
Written for the safety commission
The inspection pack uses the vocabulary of French reports and attaches the original certificates. The interface and the documents it produces exist in French as well as English.
Common questions
Are the intervals legal advice?
No. They are sourced suggestions, shown with their reference and a notice. The law applicable to your property depends on its classification and on the prescriptions of the relevant commission.
Does my data stay in Europe?
Yes. Your documents and your list of checks are stored in the European Union (Hetzner, in Germany). For a hotel in France, document reading and the assistant run on Mistral, hosted in the EU; no model outside the EU is used where GDPR applies. The application refuses to start if its document reader is not EU-hosted.
